Did you Know...
In August 1485 Richard III spent the night before the Battle of Bosworth Field at the Blue Boar Inn. It was his last night alive, and his body was brought to Leicester afterwards. In fact his skeletal remains have been discovered under a Leicester car park. The car park stands on the site of the former Choir of Greyfriars Church where Richard, the last English king to die in battle, was hastily buried.
Part of the East-Midlands lies the county of Leicestershire. Over the last few years there have been some exciting discoveries, one of the most famous was finding King Richard iii, learn about his life and legacy at the discovery centre. Just 2 miles from the city of Leicester is the National Space Centre, the whole family will have an out of this world experience here. During the summer months Wistow Maze is a fun day to spend with family and friends.
