Benington Lordship

The garden at Benington Lordship has long been a prized destination during February for people to enjoy the drifts of snowdrops that sweep across the lawns around the elegant 18th century house (not open) and – in particular – cover the banks of the moat around the romantic remnants of ancient Norman castle. The flint towers of the ancient gatehouse and the undulating banks of the deep mote make for a dramatic setting into which the snowdrops introduce a picture that no visitor will forget.
