About
Situated next to the great Coliseum is the Roman Forum. A long rectangular plaza surrounded by ruins of ancient temples, Saturn, Vesta, the arch of Titus and the church of San Luca e Martina. Originally a market place, it soon became site of important government buildings and the political powerhouse at the centre of an empire. There are so many ruins to see in the Forum, you’ll get a real insight into the most powerful civilisation on earth.
