About

Discover the original cabinet war rooms run by the great man himself. You’ll be able to experience what it must have been like to govern a country from underground whilst being bombed from the skies.

Between 1940 and 1945 hundreds of men and women kept the British government headquarters running. One of the rooms was locked following the surrender of the Japanese in 1945 and remained unseen until the late 1970’s. Discover the legacy of Winston Churchill; learn about his life as Britain’s war tie prime minister at Churchill’s Museum.

The War rooms are located a short walk from the houses of Parliament in Central London.
